FLAT PINS / SEMI FLAT PINS

Flat pins do the same job as Gill pins but allow a finer pinning to be produced without compromising the pin strength.

Uses

Today, most flat pins are moulded into nylon "pinned strips" to be either glued or pressed into steel fallers. The key at the end of the semi-flat pin secures the pin into the nylon and prevents the pin from being pulled out during use.
